Lesson 6- Key words for literature

Observation lesson 6 word document using key words to guide for effective  literature search.

In a Word document we had to explained in a l00 words or less how one would use key words to guide an effective literature search. We could used example to clearly explain the process.
My answer below:

How would I use key words to guide an effective literature search?  I would find background information that would have me to identify the main concept to support my topic. Make a list of the terms used to refer to these concepts.  An effective literature search should be well thought out and organized.  First, I would have a clear idea of the topic I am searching. I would create question for my topic that I am researching.
I would used the five W’s what, when, who, where and why for a more in depth research. For example, if my key word were Cancer, I would research information on Cancer; my first question would be what type of Cancer.  Where is this Cancer located, who does this cancer effect.

Creating a 5-day study plan

I had to briefly decribe a five day study plan 150-200 words.  Below you will find my five day study plan.

A 5 day study plan

A five day study plan can be effective by preparing schedules of my daily activities. I would start by blocking off the eight hour that I work a day. Blocking off the time that I usually go to bed and then filling in the 5 hours that I have left. I believe having a well workout schedule can help me stay on track as long as I have the discipline to stick to the plan. It would benefit me by making sure that my assignment and my personal life is at least a little in order. I believe when in front of you on paper then I realize I don’t have as much time as I do. I always make the mistake of thinking I have enough time or its want take as long to do this or that. I think when it mentally thought it not as accurate as it is on paper. I have found out that I have at least two a night for studying exam or doing assignment.

Lesson 5 -Exam Preparation/how to study for exam

Lesson 5 deal with preparing for exam.. ways of studying.

Strategies exam preparation:

Taking notes is helpful in this class and any other class. To help study for the exam to make accurate that has helped me with this class and any other class. To write down all the important notes to study for an exam.

Creating a study sheet has help in this class to prepare for the exam by combining information from different sources in one place for me to concentrate on the main information. Rewriting the information has also helped me.

I found that rehearsing or reciting test material has helped me in this class. By writing exam information down, making up various cue that help me recall the information.

Understanding the information to apply for studying for an exam. By not understanding the test material I have no way what I need for the test.

Making study 3x5 study cards has helped me. By applying the most important information on card and reciting the information for testing.

Taking on-line study test helped me in class, By applying what I have learn without looking over the information.

Lesson 4- dealing with creating a goal.

This was a little difficult for me. Never enough time in a day I have decided to work on my schedule. Below is what I am working on time management. From the time that left in the week is only two or four hours left in a day.
Hours left in each day:
2
2
3

3
4

Daily Activities:
Mon
Tues
Wed
Thu
Fri
Sat
Sun
Classes:

Sleeping:
Exercise/sports:
Work/internship:
Family commitments:
Personal care/grooming:
Meal preparation/
eating/clean-up:
Transportation
(school, work, etc):
Relaxation: TV/
video games, etc.:
Socializing & friends:
Other:

Time Management has been effective I am realizing that going by the schedule I have allotted time to use in other areas. By using my time I could work on some of my by lists on every activities to make sure I am not missing something that I am used to doing. But for the most part my studying habit is average to me. My family time is usually the weekend scheduled  is busy doing the week.

Lesson Three also deal with the 9 Habits of successful learning online

All 9 of the them are very good habits but I working on a couple at a time the one below stick out the most.
that would be:      Getting an early start and being organized is what I have been focusing on. By getting an early start would be going over all by assignment, reading the material that need to be reads. Printing off all assignment keeping a folder near my laptops has been working great. So I want make the mistake of overlooking an assignment. Being organize that is highlighting the due date.  That has helped me a great deal.

Lesson Three -Homework

Lesson three we read over how to do homework. Very interesting facts.
The step(s) to follow would be:

1. Choose a quiet place.
2. Make a list on the computer
3.Concentrate on one task at a time.
4.Set a specific time to finish a task
5.Take a break
6.Spend the time right after your study breaks wisely.
